Education & Teaching International, 46 (2), 171-183.
Summary:
The following authors; Gardner, Morrison, Jarman, and Reilly & McNally stated: “By the end of the decade or sooner, the transition to ubiquitous computing will become a pervasive force that changes the ways of human communication”. Additionally, the authors explained programs such as Microsoft’s Anytime Anywhere Learning has prospects on developing wireless mobile learning systems for future classroom learning.
This article utilized the term Mobile Learning. Mobile Learning redefined e-learning to m-learning. M-learning focuses on the functional, components and communication style. It is characterized as an e-learning mobile device and wireless transmission. This type of learning is typically used by most computer scientists whose interests focus on building functional system connecting devices with wireless networks.
Conclusion:
This issue provided information that was researched and through research concluded that America’s children will be empowered and will function effectively in the future. This will be done with change, information growth and evolving technologies. (Words stated from the author)
However, there are a number of concerns which are associated with mobile learners and the upcoming wave of ubiquitous computing in education. Some of the primary concerns are educational digital divides, classroom-management issues, issues of network literacy and the need of building partnership for pedagogically sound educational tools.

Kim, P, (2009 June). Action research approach on mobile learning design for the Underserved Educational Technology Research & Development, 57 (3), 415-435.
Summary:
This citing discusses online learning for examining students learning habits and capabilities who have different cultural backgrounds. Their main concerns focused on technology infrastructure. In these situations people have no televisions, radius, electrical appliances or any other forms of technology which are key factors in learning with mobile devices in this era. This international review identified seven dimensions of online success with MP3 music, MP4-video players, iPods, cell phone and the iPhone.
Review:
This is an interesting article for those who want to learn more about developing effective technology and devices for countries that have no mobile educational technology involvement. It was also a great resource of information on technology and mobile devices that were built for these children because it discussed a variety of learning content that covered multiple subjects and topics.

Westlund, O. (2008, September) From Mobile Phone to Mobile Device, News Consumption on the Go Canadian Journal of Communication, 33(3), 443-463.
Summary:
Westlund stated, “The mobile phone has technologically that changed from a voice text-oriented communication tool to a multimedia device. The author explained the diffusion and adoption of mobile devices for multimedia with the focus being on new journalistic content. Additionally, the author gave quantitative surveys on mobile Phone to mobile devices and how people are utilizing them. More and more people are presenting the country with further technology and mobile devices. Today in every walk of life, people’s interest focus on the news, entertainment, sports, culture and so on. With mobile devices they are able to stay in tuned to current events.
Review:
Multimedia mobile news services can serve as a case for new mobile technology featuring connections to the internet. Researching the second diffusion phase of mobile technology can be compared with shooting at a moving target.

Richardson, 1. (2007, June). Pocket Technospaces: The Bodily Incorporation of Mobile Media. Continuum: Journal of Media & Cultural Studies, 21(2), 205-215.
Summary:
Ingrid Richardson stated, “Hand held media and communications technologies are becoming increasingly composite interfaces, combining the functionality of standard telephone, text based interaction, e-mails, internet browsing, digital-video, cameras, PDA’s, MP3 players and games consoles”. “As devices such as these penetrate and transform everyday cultural practices and spaces, they are effectively transforming the relation between body and world, ready to hand and telepresent interaction, and actual and virtual environments.”
The author talked strongly about mobile game space in which game consoles and portable media devices are spaces of containment or microworld reservoirs which implicitly rely on the already recognizable container-like properties of media apparatuses such as the television and the radio.
Review:
The bodily incorporation of mobile media are enjoyed by many people. However, people still like the handheld mobile devices more than the useful and stylus blue tooth device or any other mobile ear devices. They like the intimate relationship between the handheld phone and there is no doubt that handheld tool relations are one of the most significant.

Schmid, R, Miodrag, N., & Di Francesco, N. (2008). A Human –Computer Partnership: The Tutor/Child/Computer Triangle Promoting the Acquisition of Early Literacy. Skills. Journal of Research on Technology in Education, 41(1), 63-84.
Summary:
This journal reviewed the involvement and the analysis of the complex interactions between tutors and preschool children who utilized computers during early literacy years. These daily tutoring sessions consisted of twenty minute tutoring for two weeks in which the students were given a software program. The programs were designed to help guide the tutors and assist the student while working on a one to one basis. The elementary school students who were involved consisted of the students who were in the lower 30% of reading achievement. Through this research it was discovered that for a while older children can benefit from non-interference from adults or teachers while working with computer applications however younger children need human support to acquire complex skills.
Review:
I think that this report focus on using technology and mobile devices as a way to detect and resolve reading problem in children as early as possible. This tool will help children acquire necessary reading skills before they fall seriously behind their reading grade level. In addition, schools are moving away from traditional, didactic classroom applications and toward the use of sophisticated, computer, all based approaches that utilize the internet and education software to support learning.
